HISTORY

  Charlotte Krüsi, 2007

Charlotte Krüsi was born in Zurich, Switzerland and flows in a generational gifting to create art. Charlotte's home was jokingly called "the glass house". Her mother taught glass engraving with a diamond tool to many Swiss people. Her dad was a hobby painter and art collector. Charlotte's mother allowed her to play with her oil paints as a little child and also introduced her to the wonders of creation and the Creator.

Although Charlotte decided to seek a teaching degree, painting continued to be a strong love of hers. After a serious accident in the Swiss mountains, where she experienced the presence of God, Charlotte became a Christian at age 19 and a few years later went to West Africa as a teacher. Through her many travels, she continued to share the love of art by teaching classes on silk painting and glass engraving in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.

In 1996, Charlotte, her husband and their four children joined Mercy Ships as volunteers in the Garden Valley – Lindale, TX area. In their outreach to Guinea, West Africa, Charlotte was able to do some exciting community art projects for a village clinic. Charlotte also taught for the YWAM school and summer arts camp (ARTRAGEOUS). Charlotte enjoys teaching children that have a special interest in art.

CURRENT

Her latest project is a series on THE FRUIT OT THE SPIRIT. Charlotte loves to pass on a message of hope to the next generation. A paint brush can be a powerful bridge! Both her daughters love art: The older one is responsible for most of the PRAYER-ART blog's photography and the younger one loves to dance. Charlotte’s husband Hansruedi is a geologist and together with their son's who study physics and computer science they often discuss the mysteries of "The Great Mastermind" behind natures beauty.

Colossians 1: 16-17 is one of her favorite verses:

"For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things hold together."
